Giving & Thanksgiving Thursday

Little Chick is a giver. She thinks of others and how she might give of herself all the time. She adores all of God's creatures and asks me often if she can feed the birds, bring treats to the horses and get special treats for her doggies. She does not expect anything but gets such joy out of making others happy. What better gift is there than  to give and to spread happiness!

Thanksgiving Thursday: 1.) Little Chick and my family. 2.) To give of myself freely. 3.) For the simple pleasure of being outside surrounded by nature. 4.) Little Chick's beautiful heart. 5.) Long walks on the beach.

Magnificent Show & Thanksgiving Thursday

The past few days have been amazing! On Wednesday it was a drizzly misty day and we could not wait to go hiking at the Basin. We trekked aside the cascading water along a very rooted path. When we got to a beautiful spot filled with water, magnificent Autumn foliage, and humongous boulders Little Chick asked if she could eat her lunch. We have become accustomed to packing snacks and eating while attending the most spectacular show on earth - God's daily showing of utter magnificence! I never could understand when someone says that they are bored. Step outside and simply look around. The ever changing beauty God has given us second after second is outstanding. And even more amazing is that it is never the same show! On Thursday we went to the Polar Caves. It was gorgeous! We had so much fun climbing through the caves. Little Chick had a blast! And today the day started with pouring rain and we went to the Science Center. We love going there to see the Bobcats, Mountain Lions, Bears and variety of birds. It has been so stupendous exploring New Hampshire once again.

Thanksgiving Thursday: 1.) Little Chick and my family. 2.) The ever change in nature. It is the most beautiful show! 3.) Sharing my love for nature with my beautiful daughter! 4.) Making wishes upon a starlit sky. 5.) The smell of fireplaces burning in the air on a cool crisp evening.

Hiking and Amusement

It has been a lovely few days in New Hampshire! Yesterday we went through the mountains and were able to soak in the gorgeous Autumn foliage. We then spent the day at Storyland. Little Chick loved the swan ride, visiting Cinderella and of course the Polar Coaster. And who can forget seeing Pooh Bear! It was a fantastic day! Today we went hiking at the Lost River. Little Chick ended the day with a fun swim in the pool. New Hampshire is simply beautiful!

Autumn in New Hampshire

We are so excited to be back in New Hampshire! It is a place that brings us such happiness and peace. We arrived yesterday and immediately took in the fresh crisp Autumn air. Every one's fireplace was going and the night brought a sea of stars. Little Chick was so excited when she woke up this morning (very early) and said "Mommy I want to see the mountains". We took the dogs out and she then made sure to wake up Grandma Hen for the day. Of course, with Little Chick came Lolli and Gigi to help get Grandma Hen out of bed. We then headed to Santa's Village. It was a really fun day! We went on rides, drank delicious hot cocoa, saw a 3D movie, pet the reindeer, and talked to Rudolph. When we returned we went to our favorite restaurant and then went swimming. It was a fantastic day!
