Thanksgiving Thursday

It is Thanksgiving Thursday and I am so thankful for all the blessings in my life. The summer has been beautiful and Little Chick is excited about planning for her birthday in July. The planning usually begins each year right after she celebrates her birthday. Little Chick has been riding each week and is starting to jump. She LOVES horses and spending her time with them as much as possible. We also have been spending our days at the pool. Nothing like hanging out by the pool on hot summer days. We are looking forward to the holiday weekend with family and friends.

Thanksgiving Thursday: 1.) Little Chick and my family. 2.) Our home, animals and great friends. 3.) Horse back riding for Little Chick. 4.) Planning beautiful birthday celebrations. 5.) Barbeques with family and friends.

His Daily Blessings

Sunset the other evening was yet another reminder to us all how much God loves us each and every moment. Little Chick and I had an impromptu barbeque at our house with our wonderful neighbors. It was our first cookout of the season and we topped it off by making s'mores and hanging out by the fire pit. My friends and I found great joy in listening to our children running around the backyard giggling and simply having a blast. We reminisced about our own youth and how summer was all about playing with neighborhood kids until dark. As the lightning bugs appeared and the kids had their last giggles and jump on the trampoline for the evening, I felt so filled with love and thankfulness for the incredible blessings in my life. It truly is the simple things that make the journey so amazing.

A Beautiful Vacation

Little Chick, Grandma Hen and I had a super time at Whale's Tail water park on our last full day on vacation. It was an absolute blast! We spent the day there and then headed to dinner at our favorite restaurant and followed that by a hike. It was a beautiful trip to New Hampshire!

A Fun Day at Story Land

Little Chick, Grandma Hen and I spent a wonderful day exploring Story Land yesterday. We had fun on the Polar Coaster, on the Pirate Ship, riding the carousel and so much more. Oh what joy it is to be with family in such a fun place!

Family & Favorite Places

Little Chick and I have been having such a wonderful time in New Hampshire with Grandma Hen. We had a beautiful day yesterday hiking, visiting Echo Lake and seeing the bear show at Clarks Trading Post. The weather is gorgeous and I am so thankful for my time in such a special place with my family.

Peace in the White Mountains

Little Chick is learning all about the great poets Robert Frost and Henry David Thoreau. As we have been hiking and exploring our favorite White Mountains, she has started to make references to Henry David Thoreau's quest for peace and quiet among the wilderness. She and I love being surrounded by nature and feeling the peace as we are walking under the canopy of leaves. There is such joy in the simple things in life. I love Little Chick's and my time together exploring all of these wonderful gifts.

Thanksgiving Thursday-White Mountains

There is nothing so great as the time I spend with Little Chick exploring God's ever abundant gifts in nature. We absolutely love hiking! Like Robert Frost, we are in love with the beautiful White Mountains. There is such a peace when we are walking through the woods. We love hearing the wind rustling through the trees, the pitter patter of rain upon the leaves, the rushing water along the river and simply basking in all that has been given to us. This week we have been exploring new hikes and challenged ourselves with some more difficult ones. How lovely it is to share this with my beautiful baby!
