A Fabulous Weekend

This weekend Little Chick and I did many fun things! We finally went sledding after a surprise mini snow fall on Friday. Thankfully we still had some snow left in our backyard to enjoy yesterday with our little doggies. It was Gigi and Lolli's first time sledding with us. It was exciting! We spent some time with Grandma Hen and had fun making pictures and creating with shapes. Today we headed to the beach to play on the playground, but missed our little doggies and went back to get them. It was Gigi's first time on the beach and she had a blast! It was a fabulous weekend!

Dear Mommy,

Thank you so much for always being there for me throughout the years! I appreciate all that you have done and still do. You have been an amazing grandmother to Little Chick and she adores you! Now that I am a mom I can appreciate more all the wonderful selfless things you did for me throughout my childhood. I love you so much and want you to know that nothing you have done goes unnoticed. Thank you Dear Lord for my beautiful mommy!

Seizing the Moment

Yesterday and today Little Chick and I decided to make the most of our 44 degree weather and head to our favorite place - the beach. We were excited to bring Lolli for a great walk. We had such a magnificent time! Lolli and Little Chick have the best time always meeting all the dogs, both large and small. It is such a fun thing to be a part of. We love our "Puppe and Mommy" days! I couldn't think of anything better than a beautiful walk along the beach with my baby!

Valentine's Day was so much fun! Little Chick loved opening all of her mail she received at school from her buddies. She opened each one with such fervor and giddiness, the room was filled with complete happiness! She also could not wait to tell Lolli and Gigi all about her Valentine's day at school. If only we could capture this beautiful zest for life and all the simple pleasures. Happy Thanksgiving Thursday!

Little Chick could not wait for Valentine's Day! She kept talking about wearing her Valentine's Day skirt and tights and making cards for all of her friends and teachers and best of all celebrating at school with a Valentine's Day party. Last night she could hardly get to sleep from all the excitement. This morning she ate her breakfast quickly and ran up to her room to get on her Valentine's Day attire. She looked adorable! Her giddiness was contagious!

Dear Daddy

Dear Daddy,

It has been fourteen years since your passing and it still feels like it was not too long ago. You may not have been given a full life here on earth, however your impression, incredible love and guidance continues on in all who knew you. You were my rock! You were always a light I gravitated to. You made me feel like I could soar above everything and all and always feel confident no matter which way the chips would fall. You taught me to pick myself up when I fell to the ground. You always made me feel like no matter what, I was so unbelievably loved! It is this love that shone through you and passes through me onto my beautiful daughter. You are missed every day and every minute. There is a space within my heart that will always feel empty until the day we meet again. May you always know that I have the utmost respect for you and all that you did for me. I pray I may pass this along to your granddaughter. I love you Daddy!

Gigi & Thanksgiving Thursday

We have a new baby and her name is Gigi. I surprised Little Chick yesterday with going to the air port to pick up our new baby. She did not know what we were doing other then that we were going to the airport for a surprise. After my little guys passed on I did not think I could have another Pomeranian, but my heart has been aching for one and here she is. When we saw her crate we knew it was ours before even having it in front of us. Little Chick caught on when she saw another woman picking up two dogs. When we opened the crate door we fell in love instantly! The whole drive home she sat in Little Chick's arms as if she just knew this was her family. She had fun with Lolli and the cats when we arrived home and Little Chick and Gigi could not get enough playtime and hugs! It was so much fun watching Little Chick and Gigi running around in our fenced in yard. Gigi had her first bath last night and was a trooper. She climbed into bed with Little Chick and cuddled up in her arms and was happy to meet Pooh Bear. What a beautiful blessing! We love Gigi!
