Little Chick in Newport, Rhode Island

"Every day is a new adventurous gift ready to be opened and enjoyed with fervor." ~Mama Hen
I surprised Little Chick with a spur of the moment fun trip to Newport, Rhode Island this weekend. She had never been to Rhode Island before and with spring in the air, what better way to spend the weekend than exploring another State. We went to the beach and fed the seagulls, went strolling through town browsing through the cute shops, ate a delicious seafood lunch and dinner and went swimming at the hotel. On Sunday we headed to Hammonasset beach in Connecticut and had an amazing time! It was absolutely beautiful! We left for lunch at our favorite lunch place in Old Saybrook. We enjoyed listening to the band and then we went back to Hammonasset beach to fly a kite and feed the seagulls. This was a weekend filled with abundant joy!

  4. Oh what a WONDERFUL weekend getaway! What a beautiful story in pictures! :-) I love how grown up LC looks, but yet she has all the sweetness and cuteness of when I first "met" your sweet family! I have SO enjoyed hearing from you lately - it puts a huge smile on my face! Have a wonderful rest of the week! xo

  6. What a fun weekend! Oh, it's been way too long since I've been to Newport! Thanks for bringing back all those memories... Did you see any mansions? It's such a unique place to visit. Little Chick, as always, is adorable; although, she's growing into quite a little, young lady :) I love the picture of the two of you!
