Smile Sunday - Dreams

"If you dream and dream your wish will come true. It may not come when you planned it or how you pictured, but it will happen when it is just right." ~Mama Hen
For those of you who have read my blog a while you know I dreamed of being a mom all of my life. It was my greatest wish and if it had been up to me I would have been a mom at a younger age. However, over the years I have learned the importance of wishes and the necessity of not giving up on them, but also that they don't always come when we plan on it. They come in God's time. It was not the easiest lesson in my life, but I can honestly say that when I look back on all of my fertility issues and miscarriages, I know now with the utmost certainty that Little Chick was meant to be at this exact moment in my life and in this time on our great Earth. Who knows, perhaps she will be an essential part of changing the world or someone elses life. We don't always understand why things don't go according to plan, but I truly believe that God has the ultimate plan and we are here at the exact time we are meant to be.

Happy Smile Sunday!

  3. I totally agree with you. God's timing is not always our timing, but it IS always perfect.

BTW, you can, indeed, check for bed bugs. Most of the motels we stayed at were pretty nice, but I guess even those aren't exempt from the threat of bed bugs. SO, when you first get in the room, before turning on the light, you throw back the bed covers and shine a flashlight in any little crevass (sp?) at the foot or sides of the bed. Happy to report: no bed bugs at any place we stayed. :-)

So happy that the soaps arrived and that you and Little Chick like them. :-) Thank you again for your order from Soap'n'Such You can tell Little Chick that Pumpkin Spice is one of my favorites too!

    Have a wonderful weekend.

  6. THAT IS A GORGEOUS PHOTO OF LITTLE CHICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And your quote is spot-on: we may not know when our dreams will come true, but if we wish and pray hard enough, hopefully, they will - a little bit of focus and planning go a long way to make our dreams a reality!!

  10. Mama Hen, I always wanted to be a mom too and I waited almost six years for us to be blessed with my daughter. It's true that things do happen in HIS time not ours. I don't think I would've been the same kind of mom if I had her sooner or later. :)

  12. totally agree with what you wrote!!
if i became a mom when i wanted to, i wouldn't have ella and zoe -- there really are reasons why things happen when they do, though not easy to understand when you're going through a hard time!

  14. I agree with you so much Mama Hen. Yes, we live in a society that's "instant"--"instant communication," instant buying, etc. etc. and yet, we have to learn that not all things (especially the ones that are really important in life) are instant. No matter how long we have to wait, our dreams will come true in some form at, as you say, "the right time." Happy Sunday!

  15. I couldn't agree more! God has a plan for us all and just because his plan may not happen exactly the way we want it to or in the time frame we would like, he has a reason for it all! I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!

  16. She's clearly perfect, so as you say - things happen as they do for a reason, however much of a mystery it might be to you at the time.

  18. Love your quote and the gratitude for being able to have at least one baby. There are so many mom's who don't understand that being able to birth a baby is a gift and not a luxury. So glad you have her; she is quite a gem!
