Thanksgiving Thursday and Power

"Make the best of uncomfortable circumstances. You may look back one day and think of them as some of your fondest memories." ~Mama Hen

Our power just went back on! I can't say just how excited we are. We have been visiting my mom every day just for a shower and cup of coffee. This picture above was taken a couple of days ago. My dear friend Geri came over for a hot shower and to spend the night because she had no power either. Just as we took this picture my mom's power went out. We made the best of it and had a little party! Although it has been rather uncomfortable, the circumstances brought our family and friends together. That is really what life is all about! Happy Thanksgiving Thursday!Thank you Grandma Hen!

Thanksgiving Thursday: 1.) Little Chick and my family. 2.) Thank You God that my friends and family were fine in the hurricane. 3.) For electricity and the comforting feeling it brings. 4.) For family and friends during times of need. 5.) For my best friend Marcy who stayed on the phone with me for a couple of hours last night to help the time in the dark pass by!

  4. Hurricane Irene certainly left her mark this week! I'm so glad your power was restored AND more importantly, you were able to make the best of it when you were without electricity. Thank goodness for the love and comfort brought by family and friends. God is good!

  6. Yes, thank God for power. I've certainly been praying those that were without power due to Hurricane Irene. It's rough especially when you have small kids.
