"Give thanks for the gift of simply being with family."~Mama HenWell, the hurricane is over and we are so thankfull that we are all fine. We have no power, but that is the least of worries in these moments. It was one of the most frightening things I have experienced. Having my daughter makes the worry so much greater in times like these. With two enormous trees looming in our yard, I spent the night praying they would stay in tact. Our prayers were heard and we are fine. I hope everyone that experienced this storm is doing well. Have a good week!

We thankfully never lost power, my parents did and they were told power would not be restored until Thursday at the earliest!
ReplyDeleteIt is so gorgeous outside now, hard to believe a hurricane just came through!
So glad to hear your trees stayed put. There are some really scary images in the media with the trees down and babbling creeks turned into raging waters! Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteYou were on my mind- so glad to know you're well! It was quite a scare to hear about that hurricane.
ReplyDeleteGlad you hear you made it through!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear that you weathered the storm so well. I really appreciate your checking in on me today. We never even lost electricity. I know it must have been scary for you. My stepdaughter said the exact same thing about how she felt now that my granddaughter was here. Good news is that everyone here is fine. I hope your power is restored quickly!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear y'all made it safely through the storm! I live in the western part of North Carolina so we weren't affected at all. In fact, my husband said over the weekend as we were driving how hard it was to believe there was a hurricane going on in our state because the weather was absolutely beautiful here.
ReplyDeleteHope you get power back soon if you don't have it back already!
SO happy that things are alright with you and your family. So much to be thankful for during those scary events...
ReplyDeleteWe are in hurricane territory, so we have become TOO paranoid of them here in Texas. We are about 5 min from the Gulf, so we know these darn storms all too well :( It can definitely be a scary situation and I'm SO happy you are all ok!
So glad that you are all safe and sound there! It was definitely a scary time!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you guys are o.k.!! Thanks for checking in on me too! Hope you get power back soon. Keeping you all in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jill
So happy to hear that y'all are okay! Hurricanes are a way of life down here, but thankfully we haven't had to "deal" with them for a few years. I'm praying for all the people affected by Irene...mother nature is such a powerful force.
ReplyDeleteTrees were meant to stay in the ground - don't they know that? All joking aside, so glad your all okay. I've been battling my own hurricane - food poisoning style. I really really really hate food poisoning :-(
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that you're okay!
ReplyDeleteGlad everyone is well! =)
