Sleep My Precious One

"My little precious one, sleep my love.
May the new day bring happiness, love and an abundance of giggles!"
~Mama Hen
Little Chick is very sick. She had quite a day today! She has had stomach cramps for six days now and has already seen the pediatrician. Last night she woke up in terrible pain and I held her all night. She was so sick today that she ended up in the hospital for tests. It has been a very tough day for my little one, and she handled it like a trooper. I was so incredibly proud of her! When we returned home she was so sick again and after an hour and half was able to get to sleep. There is no greater stress for a parent then to see their child in any kind of pain. I pray she will wake up to feeling much better.

  3. Oh no! I hope she gets some good sleep tonight and wakes up feeling better tomorrow. You are right, there is nothing worse than a sick child. I think it hurts us more than it hurts them sometimes. Get some rest yourself!

  4. Oh Mama Hen. I just hate when little ones are sick. It is a miserable feeling for all involved. Did the docs offer any explanation? It's often a guessing game for them, too, but at least a diagnosis helps you feel like you have some control over the matter. Maybe a clear liquid diet to give her tummy a break might help Little Chick feel better. She might even enjoy popsicles and jell-o for breakfast *smile* I'll check back for an update. I hope you both get some much-needed rest tonight.

  31. Oh no! Do they have any idea what's going on with her little body? Poor baby! I'll check your blog later for an update. When my kids are sick, I literally feel sick myself. I can really make myself sick.

I was actually stopping by to leave you a funny story, but it doesn't seem quite like the time for that. But anyway...I played the video of little Chick singing, and Livia LOVED it! She had this funny little smile on her face all the way thru, and at the end she says "BABY!!!" I took her into the kitchen right after that for lunch, and she's sitting in the high chair and all of a sudden, she says "Mo' baby! Mo' baby!" And then she starts swaying from side to side. It was hysterical! After lunch, she sat on my lap in front of the computer for probably 10-15 minutes watching the video over and over and over!
