"Find the happy side of stormy weather." ~Mama HenToday we had an ice storm here in New England and Little Chick and I were stuck inside. I was excited to bring out one of my favorite movies to share with my daughter: National Velvet with Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Rooney. I remember before I was even a mommy that I thought about the day I could sit and watch my favorite classics and create memories with my children. So when we were not able to drive because the roads were covered in ice, I thought that it would be a great day to sit with my baby all bundled up and watch this fantastic movie together. She loved it and yet another mommy daughter tradition was in the making.
Thanksgiving Thursday
1.) I am so thankful for Little Chick and my family.
2.) For making the best of days stuck inside and creating great memories with my beautiful daughter.
3.) For the strength to be able to shovel almost every other day and to be able to even climb up a ladder and shovel my roof. Not so easy, but I did it!
4.) For Zumba classes and being able to have a great gym membership.
5.) For super blog awards! Thank you Candace from Mi Chiamo Candace! I really appreciate it!

Life is indeed marvelous and I'm glad there are more people in the world who find the happy side of all things. I also love that kind of scene, staying at home with my mother during rainy season when classes were cancelled and we're also stuck at home.
