Little Chick and I love to go to the beach! We go as often as we can. We especially love some beaches around here that have super playgrounds. It allows us to climb, jump, slide, dig, explore and create sand castles and pies. I have always found such solace in being at the beach and have found myself drawn to the water no matter where I go in the world. Somehow, with whatever may be going on in my life, I immediately feel a sense of peace and calm once I step onto the beach and feel the sea air upon my face. I hope that this ability to decompress at our favorite place will be something Little Chick can carry with her when she gets older and needs a place to find some tranquility. God has blessed us all with so many gifts in nature that can immediately help us to destress and rejuvenate. With our lives being so busy and hectic it is so important to recognize that getting back to nature can be so healthy and just the thing we need on a "not so good" day. What do you do to destress?

That's great that the beach provides peace and comfort. Honestly working out helps a ton (not that I do it that much) but pilates has honestly helped me a great deal. I also find telling myself it's not THAT bad helps - oh and wine :-) Thanks for dropping by. Have a great/better week
ReplyDeleteWhat do I do to destress?
ReplyDelete* Rest as much as I can... by lying down on my bed and breastfeeding Ben ;)
* Change Ben into his swimsuit and watch him play in his water pool at our balcony... and join in the fun!
* Read the latest posts from my fave bloggers (that's including you, Mama Hen ;P)
* Blogging!
Hope you have a blessed week, Mama Hen!
You know Mama Hen, I think it is wonderful that you use the resources of nature around you so often. This is a so good! Little Chick will remember and she will always go to this place even if it is in her head because of the amazing memories you have created with her here. I love this for her and you!
ReplyDeleteI love the sea too. I was born next to the sea and always feel like it's home. How wonderful you live so close to one. That really is a blessing.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
xoxo
Oh I love the beach too. There's something about the sound of the tide moving in and out that's so soothing...in addition to all the wildlife/marine life. I'm glad that you have a special place with Little Chic to get away from it all, relax, and just be yourselves!
ReplyDeleteOh, what do I do to destress? I love to go for walks in the park with Little Lewie...we just love listening to the birds or listening for a woodpecker in the background...Nature definitely gives me serenity too!
ReplyDeletethere's something about beaches, because I feel the same when we're there. Great post and pics :) I love to destress by a long walk on the water...listening to the water, the birds-sounds silly, but I love it! Last night we went walking, my hubby and kids were with me, it was PERFECT :)
ReplyDeleteStress really became part of our lives but what is important is we find ways to overcome it and one good way is to go back to nature like what you and little chick's doing!
ReplyDeleteIf there were lot of beach near me, I would opt to go there too but the sad thing is I have to travel far to reach one but I'll find ways to see wonderful works of nature though.
Oh, I love the beach for the same reasons, although this time of year I won't go anywhere near it (it's jammed with spring breakers)! A brisk walk by the water, and a good work out also replenish the soul!
ReplyDeleteyou two do so many fun things together : )
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed to have a beach nearby. We only get to go once a year. We have just planned it. So excited!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful you can de-stress at a place like the beach! The photos are lovely and you're right, being near water has a calming effect. I hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI de-stress by taking a bath or massage!
ReplyDeleteI love the beach, too, and look at that sky!!
ReplyDeleteLittle Chick is having a blast!!

The beach really is such a wonderful place to rejuvenate. To destress, I often will get in bed early, get toasty warm and read a good book. Before I know it, I'm too involved in the book's plot to be so concerned with my own life. Hope you're having a good week!
ReplyDeleteHi there, stopping by to say hi - Hope you're doing well!
ReplyDeleteI would be doing the same thing if I lived where you did!
ReplyDeleteIt's so great that you guys have a place you both love to go and have fun and destress. xo
