Saying Thank You and Thanksgiving Thursday

"Say Thank You - It is polite, it shows acknowledgement towards a kind act, it takes just a moment and you never know just how important those two words might be for the giver." ~Mama Hen
To give thanks is to show the giver that one acknowledges the kind gesture they have made. Lately I have noticed how often people forget to take the time to say these simple words. It does not take much to do so and perhaps it could really make the givers day. I know that the world today has become rather hectic and fast paced, however, there is no excuse for thank yous to be forgotten. Today Little Chick was so excited when she heard me yelling out the front door for the ice cream truck to stop. We ran out and she picked a Popsicle out for herself and an ice cream for Grandma Hen. I am so thankful to God above for my beautiful family.
Thanksgiving Thursday: 1.) Little Chick and my family. 2.) That my dear friend has come out of a stroke and might be able to return from the hospital in the morning. 3.) For refreshing rain when ninety degree weather and humidity won't give up. 4.) For strength when I am in pain and feel weak. 5.) For friends that don't judge, but simply listen.

  2. You are so right, it's beyond important to say 'thank you'. I find myself surprised when other people have trouble saying that phrase, like it makes them weaker or something? I'm not sure what it is, but I hope I make people feel good when they hear it!
