Thanksgiving Thursday & Choosing a Path

"Choosing a path can be a daunting task. However, the excitement of a new journey and what will unfold along the way is what makes living so spectacular." ~Mama Hen
I love the excitement of a new journey! My adventurous spirit and zest for taking in God's great earth makes each new path I embark upon one filled with positive anticipation. I am at a crossroad in my life and I want to make sure that the road Little Chick and I travel is overflowing with many new adventures and cherished memories. I want my daughter to learn through travel, exploring nature and experiencing the many blessed gifts God has given us all. Until now part of my journey has been challenging and there have been many uphill climbs I have had to endure. But what I have learned is that no matter how exhausting the climb is, if I keep pushing through, eventually I will reach the top. And oh how glorious the view is from the top. I hope that Little Chick always knows how important the journey is, no matter how difficult the course. Because only through struggle and adverse times can the outcome truly be appreciated and fully enjoyed. Happy Thanksgiving Thursday!

Thanksgiving Thursday: 1.) Little Chick and my family. 2.) The challenges in my life that have taught me humility and true thankfulness. 3.) Little Chick's laughter and love for making others laugh. 4.) Talking with my big sister and knowing that she is always there for me. 5.) My parents who taught me to stay strong, push through, be thankful and to always appreciate everything we have been blessed with.

  2. That is a beautiful photo and a thought-provoking post. I hope other parents are teaching their children the values that were instilled in you by your parents and that you're passing on to Little Chick by your example. ♥

  3. What a meaningful post! Sorry to hear you are at a crossroads but I know you'll make a wise choice.
Thank you for checking in on me. I'm slowly starting to settle down on my 'uncertainty'. Some serious stuff is starting to become less serious (i hope) and the professional stuff is starting to happen. Your so sweet to care! Thanks for always being my best bloggy friend. Your my BBF (best bloggy friend) hahahahaha!

  4. I always love your Thanksgiving Thursday posts Mama Hen! They're so inspiring! Life is really about the journey. One thing I've learned is that sometimes we don't always reach our goals--life is cut short or our goals drift to new ones, but we always have the journey and it's all about enjoying it with each small step... P.S. I would love to meet you at Mystic sometime--maybe on a Sat...(I know Little Chick has school during the week...) We have a few birthday weekends coming up, but we may be free on Oct. 20th or 27th...It'll be so much fun to meet you both IN PERSON! XOXO.

  5. I know exactly what you mean . . . in this whole entire post. Have felt like I've been at a crossroads this whole year. It's probably the first time, ever, that I've been taking care of my own soul before others (except my children - they will always come first.) But I've focused much more on making my girls, and ME, happy this summer. And the others in my life - well - they need to make themselves happy. Thinking of you, my friend. I hope you are doing well and at peace. Love this post.
