"There are moments in life when one truly realizes that God places angels on Earth to help heal our hearts." ~Mama Hen
It is interesting to me how during my most painful moments here on Earth certain people have come into my life as Earth angels. When my Dad died, my friend Geri had become an essential part of my healing, just as my beautiful cousin has taken on that role at this time. My dog passed away suffering. That is a part of this equation that taunts me. The time my daughter, cousin and I have taken to come up north has really helped "distract" me from the incredible sadness that I feel. Today was another lovely day with family. We started it with a scrumptious breakfast and then a jaunt to the outlet stores. We had lunch in Madison, read books at the sweet local book store and then went to the beach to collect shells and of course throw some big rocks in the water. After all the fun on our outing we headed back to the Inn for another super time in the pool. Afterwards we went into town for another great dinner and family time. The day was filled with love and cherished memories.
Ahhhh love the pictures. Little chick reminds me so much of Savannah with her always smiling. I'm glad you guys are focusing on family time and enjoying time away.
ReplyDeleteGod bless as you heal.
