Smile Sunday - Celebrate

"There is no time like the present to celebrate!" ~Mama Hen
Little Chick loves to give birthday parties! We got a new cake set yesterday and she has been celebrating ever since we took it out of the box. While we were getting ready to leave the house this morning we already had our coats and boots on and I was about to plug in the alarm code and Little Chick said she had something in the other room. I could have said that we were ready to go and we can see it when we come back, but something told me to take my boots off and go see what she was talking about. There in her playroom was the cake all decorated waiting for me to take a bite. I squealed with delight and it made her day! Sometimes we can get focused on one thing and it may make us miss something so special. I am so happy I took the time to go and see my beautiful surprise. Have a great Smile Sunday!

  1. I love those parties. I always get to turn a pretend age. It's nice not to have to be 31 every time!

  3. Ahh how cute are all her animals all ready for a party? We have a similar set but it's cupcakes and both my kids love it. Your post was a good reminder to stop and enjoy things with our kids. Today I got totally overwhelmed by the small stuff like messes (they are really not that small hehe) and I feel bad that I made that more important than my kids. Thanks for always helping me see the positive! xo

  5. Each and every time my Savannah does something like what Little Chick said to you, I always think, there won't be this moment again. I have to admit I do say, we have to go know, I'll look at it when we get back, but I'm trying 95% of the time to be in the moment with her.

Thank you for a great reminder.

You can tell little chick is your world. The smile is precious.
