My Little Pianist & Thanksgiving Thursday

"Dreams are what keep us striving for something great. Making something of that dream is a gift we give ourselves." ~Mama HenLittle Chick's piano arrived yesterday. I surprised her in the afternoon and she was so excited! She immediately started playing. It was so wonderful to sit next to my baby and tinker about with this beautiful instrument. I have been wanting to take lessons myself. So Little Chick and I will be learning together. It was a magnificent week filled with dreams coming true.
Little Chick hugging her piano.
Little chick brought the phone over to the piano so GraText Colorndma Hen could listen to her play and sing in German. So adorable!
My pianist. Thanksgiving Thursday: 1.) Little Chick and my family. 2.) My husband who works so incredibly hard to earn money that helps in making dreams come true. 3.) Zumba classes and for getting motivated again to get back to the gym. 4.) Air conditioning when it is 90 degrees outside. 5.) For kind hearted people who give of themselves without ever asking for anything in return.

  3. That is a beautiful piano! I love your quote, "Dreams are what keep us striving for something great. Making something of that dream is gift we give ourselves." It's amazing that Lil Chick asked everyday for 2 years to play, and now she gets to! What a wonderful gift you and your husband are giving her. Learning together will be so much fun! Our school's music teacher is from a private music school that specializes in teaching parents and their children to play instruments together. It's really special to see the creative tools they use! Piano & violin are both so fun. I'm happy for you both!

  11. This is wonderful! I love that you will be learning together. My father gave me a really expensive Clavinova keyboard when I was in highschool. I play, but don't play often and have moved that piano cross-country to stay with me. I hope one day my girls will have an interest in piano too, and when they do, my piano is waiting!
