"Between the chaos, life continues." ~Mama Hen Thank you very much to all my bloggy friends who have shown such love and support during such a scary time. My husband is still in the hospital and will be there for a while. Having Little Chick makes it important to keep the spirit going even when it is so tough. To say I am exhausted would be an understatement. Emotionally and physically. However, Little Chick deserves a Christmas filled with love and laughter and this is what we did today. We also made my mom feel special for her birthday yesterday. As hard as it may be, life must move forward between the chaos. My husband is making progress each day and was cracking jokes yesterday evening when I visited. This gave me a sense of relief. I hope you all have a beautiful holiday!

Hey Mama Hen,
ReplyDeleteBeen thinking about you, even told my sister's tonight at Christmas dinner about how society abandoned your hubby for the most part. So very sad.
I know the exact feeling your dealing with the exhaustion; mentally and physically. I went through this when Dennis got diabetes and was put into the hospital for 3 days. Taking care of my son, Savannah and a sick husband, while working...holy smokes. So I know you must be tired beyond belief. For you to still throw a bday gathering for your mom to feel special and make life still move on for your bundle of joy, wow! Your an amazing young mom! God bless you.
I will continue to pray for your husband.
Hugs, Viola
Oh, Mama Hen, I've been away and am stunned with what all you and your family have been through recently! I hope your mom is doing better with managing her pain and I will say a prayer that your husband's health is restored. How terribly frightening an experience that must have been for him! Tell Little Chick those cookies sure look tasty. There's an old gospel song that says, "Hallelujah, anyhow..." Well, I say "Merry Christmas, anyhow!" Wishing you all peace, joy and happiness in the New Year. Love, E
ReplyDeleteSoooo glad he is doing better and you were able to enjoy some holiday time. Hope he gets home soon and you can breathe a sigh of relief again. Thinking of you....
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear he is doing better! I am glad that you all had a nice Christmas eve celebration. The pictures are great, we left out carrots for Santa's reindeer too LOL! Christmas is so magical when you see it through a child's eyes! Hang in there, this to shall pass!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you gave her a wonderful Christmas, despite everything that happened. Praying that your husband comes home soon!
ReplyDeleteYou're so kind and thoughtful - making a magical Christmas for LC a reality in between the chaos. Amazing love. So glad to hear your husband was cracking jokes and you felt some relief.
