Between the Chaos

"Between the chaos, life continues." ~Mama Hen Thank you very much to all my bloggy friends who have shown such love and support during such a scary time. My husband is still in the hospital and will be there for a while. Having Little Chick makes it important to keep the spirit going even when it is so tough. To say I am exhausted would be an understatement. Emotionally and physically. However, Little Chick deserves a Christmas filled with love and laughter and this is what we did today. We also made my mom feel special for her birthday yesterday. As hard as it may be, life must move forward between the chaos. My husband is making progress each day and was cracking jokes yesterday evening when I visited. This gave me a sense of relief. I hope you all have a beautiful holiday!
My mom's birthday! Little Chick helps her open a gift.
I did not have time to buy candles.
Little Chick's Pooh candle from when she was three did the trick!
Little Chick and my mom reading by the Christmas tree today!
Cousins!
My baby and me!
Getting ready for Santa! Of course he needs home made cookies!
We can't forget the carrots for Rudy and his pals!
Little Chick puts out Santa's cookies.
All set for Santa!
Santa has arrived!
Merry Christmas!

Here's to a job well done Mama Hen (even if I'm sure you had a million other things on your mind.) 10. Hey Mama Hen,
Been thinking about you, even told my sister's tonight at Christmas dinner about how society abandoned your hubby for the most part. So very sad.

I know the exact feeling your dealing with the exhaustion; mentally and physically. I went through this when Dennis got diabetes and was put into the hospital for 3 days. Taking care of my son, Savannah and a sick husband, while working...holy smokes. So I know you must be tired beyond belief. For you to still throw a bday gathering for your mom to feel special and make life still move on for your bundle of joy, wow! Your an amazing young mom! God bless you.

I will continue to pray for your husband.

    Hugs, Viola

  11. Oh, Mama Hen, I've been away and am stunned with what all you and your family have been through recently! I hope your mom is doing better with managing her pain and I will say a prayer that your husband's health is restored. How terribly frightening an experience that must have been for him! Tell Little Chick those cookies sure look tasty. There's an old gospel song that says, "Hallelujah, anyhow..." Well, I say "Merry Christmas, anyhow!" Wishing you all peace, joy and happiness in the New Year. Love, E
