Mama's Little Baker

"The smell of cookies baking in the
oven is the sweet aroma of home."
I love making cookies with Little Chick! This recipe for Maple Cookies is one of my favorites to do, because not only do they taste delicious, but they have few ingredients and are great for using cookie cutters! They are easy to make and always come out superb!
Ingredients: 3 cups all purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 cup butter, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup pure maple syrup, 1 large egg, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract & I add cinnamon because I love it ( but it is your choice)!
First mix butter and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer (I just have Little Chick stir it and it is fine). Add Maple syrup, vanilla extract and egg and mix. Mix in the dry ingredients. Make into a ball and refrigerate until cool enough to roll and use cookie cutters (I throw it in freezer for 10 minutes and it is fine). Oven should be preheated at 350 degrees. Roll out dough when workable and decorate. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Scrumptious!

  4. Oh my...this is WAY too cute! I love it! :-) Love the letter cookies!

You really threw me for a loop with the "picture of me" for the feature Monday - LOL! Do you know that I don't have ONE picture of myself that was taken recently? I am going to have my husband "try" to take a shot of me tomorrow to use...but I am so unphotogenic it's crazy! Please give me until tomorrow and I will try to have the picture and the write-up done for you.

I have my post all done and ready to go...and of course I started with Mama's Little Nestwork and your link. :-) Then some shots of my family, then some more artistic shots...

So I will get a picture of me taken tomorrow, write the little bit about me and my blog, and get it back to you. What size would you like for the picture of me? Our blogs are set up differently, and mine has extra large pictures (950px). What size do you usually post, and I will size it accordingly. Have a great weekend!

They look yummy and they'll smell up the house-which I LOVE! Ok, as far as recipe blogs, my most favorite is...
