Little Chick saw her first movie theater film yesterday! She was so excited! It was perfect that it was the new Winnie the Pooh movie, because Pooh has been her favorite since she was a baby. I told her that I had a surprise for her in the morning. She could not wait to see what it was. We drove to the theater and although she did not know what we were doing yet, she could not keep from smiling. When we went in and bought the tickets I told her that we were going to see Pooh Bear. She did a happy dance! We of course got popcorn and some candy. I contemplated bringing snacks from home, but wanted the experience to be authentic. So we each got some yummy movie theater popcorn. When we walked in the theater Little Chick held her bag of popcorn and skipped down the aisle to the seat she wanted. It was a spectacular day!

ReplyDeleteI agree with Gina. I can't wait to take my little guy to the movies too. What a fun surprise! It seems like you always have something magical up your sleeve Mama Hen. Isn't it wonderful to know that your little girl's smile is all because of you and the special times you share with her?! Have a happy Thanksgiving Thursday!
ReplyDeletewe were going to take ella and zoe to the pooh movie too (their first as well), but then heard some reviews that made us reconsider. what did you think? it seems like you and little chick liked it ..... my girls love pooh but don't like crabby or mean characters, especially ella. i'd love to hear your thoughts on how two rather sensitive kids might react to the movie. thanks : )

ReplyDeleteSo Sweet! I cannot wait to take KLV to a movie. My husband wants to do the Winnie the Pooh film too but I keep telling him she's too young (it's too dark, too intense for her personality)...we shall see. So glad you had a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteAwe - what a great first movie to take her. I'm thinking Cam might need to see this one!
