"The more difficulties one has to encounter, within and without, the more significant and the higher in inspiration his life will be."
~Horace Bushnell
My life has been somewhat of an uphill climb. To say it has been difficult at times would be an understatement. Everyone has their challenges in life and I don't compare myself to anyone else. But within my thirty-nine years I have felt a myriad of trying emotions due to the mountains I have been given to climb.
I write this post in the most positive light! My father was my inspiration (those of you who have been following might know this already). He, too, had been given very tough challenges to conquer while here on Earth. Yet he smiled every day! One would never know that he had been through something very stressful, because he carried on.
My sister asked me, not too long ago, how I handle all the difficulties I have been given throughout my life. She began listing all of them and I listened as if in a surreal state. Boy that was a lot of obstacles and pain she mentioned! Was that really my life? Yup! I told her that there is nothing else one can do in life but simply continue on. However, I have always been a "giver". It is with this that I "heal" myself through it all! By giving of myself to others I feel soothed and OK. Most of all I give to Little Chick! She is my greatest blessing and I have to stay strong no matter what for her.
This blog is meant to inspire and share happy things with my blogging friends. It is through my Father's gift of staying positive while climbing up hill that I, too, can stay positive and pass this on.
Timely and much needed. :-)

Good to know that you can be postive after all your hardships. Being a care-giver to someone is supposed to be a great source of hapiness.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful attitude! :-) I wanted to tell you your comment tonight totally made my evening! It really did. :-) Happy (almost) Friday to you, friend!! :-) Have a great one!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the follow today...I had to come check out your blog. Love it! I am going to have to go back and read some of your pasts posts!
ReplyDeleteLovely positive outlook and it seems that those high mountains eventually only become small hills to climb. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteThats how I deal with things too, like when someone close to me dies the only way I can handle it is by helping everyone else. I think your dad would be super proud of you and what a wonderful person you are.
ReplyDeleteSending you hugs. Great outlook!
ReplyDeleteI have also found that through giving to others, we heal ourselves. Little Chick is a lucky little girl to have you for her mama. :-)
ReplyDeleteHello, hopping by from mama J! I'm glad to know an optimistic person with great personality like you, despite all the turmoils you have encountered you don't sulk or complain!

ReplyDeleteHi! :-) Hope your Friday was a great one! I have the Canon 5D Mark II. My lens is a 24-70mm f/2.8L. I also have a fixed 50 1.4 but I never use it! I need the ability to zoom because my kids are so FAST!! I'd be running all over the place if I couldn't zoom - LOL! I also have the 580EX II Speedlite, but I typically don't like flash, and I'm still trying to learn to use it. Too complicated for this gal! :-) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks! It was a really nice surprise!
ReplyDeleteYou are inspiring... I strongly believe that we are never given more than we can handle and we choose our attitude. There is always something to grateful for or to smile about!

ReplyDeleteI love your post. Definitely inspiring. My late father is also my inspiration and will always be. I have learned a lot from him too and hopefully make it a little bit better (if possible since I've had a great childhood) for my little princess.
Hope you and your family have a great weekend!
