"There is nothing so special as creating new treasured traditions."
~Mama HenLittle Chick and I love to go sledding at night! I have always been pretty strict about keeping to my daughter's bedtime, but when sledding is involved we have to make exceptions and go outdoors for some fun in the snow. Little Chick loves when I tell her that all her friends are going to bed while she is going out sledding. She thinks that is pretty neat! We really have such a great hill in our back yard, so before the snow melts we go out as often as we can. It is so special creating new and exciting traditions with Little Chick.
How fun! Wish we had SNOW here so I could take my son sledding. Atlanta saw its first White Christmas in years this year, but it didn't last. I'm sure Little Chick LOVED the special treat!
ReplyDeleteAhh how fun! I love getting to do "special" things with the kids. Staying up late is the ulitmate...staying up late while sledding? That's just amazing!! xo You guys are too cute!
ReplyDeleteThat tradition is so much fun! These are the type of things that Little Chick will remember for years to come. :)
ReplyDeleteCute pics. She's a doll. I bet she did enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteWhen only got a little snow tonight, but the kids were out until bedtime. Which is most likely later then your little one. I am happy you got to spend time with your little one.
ReplyDeleteAwwww how sweet!!! I need to get my youngest a snowsuit before we go play in the snow like that. Of course after purchase one, it will no longer snow all year!
ReplyDeleteHow much fun it would be to have a hill in the backyard. What a fun winter activity and such a treat in the dark!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tradition. This definitely continues to elevate you into the super cool mom's club. Glad your husband is feeling better. Hope he is on his feet soon.
ReplyDeleteI wanna be there with you guys :) Looks like TOO much fun!!! Ahhhh, wish it would snow here!!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun time and thanks again for helping me out with my blog, you're TOO kind Mama!!!
There are just some things more important than bedtime. Fun to see Oma's scarf again and LC's cute and contagious smile!
ReplyDeleteI love when parents do cool stuff like this with their kids! It means so much to them! Happy New Year my friend! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your traditions. It's amazing how something so simple can make a child feel so treasured. Last Thurs. I kept Cam home from pre-school so we could have a "Big Girl Day" I am inspired to share that with you soon.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Sometimes rules and bedtimes are meant to be stretched in the name of fun. :) Little Chick probably felt so special!
ReplyDeleteSO fun! Little Chick looks so happy. It is so exciting to be out past bedtime at that age!
ReplyDeleteWhat a little cutie! :) New Follower.

How fun! I think it is wonderful that you are creating these memories! Sometimes it is really wonderful to change things up a bit in the name of fun. Life is so rigid sometimes we forget to let loose and have fun. Its when we do things like this that you know you are going to create a lasting memory! She is too cute BTW, her smile really lights up the camera!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun memories you are creating for your Little Chick! I am jealous of the sled riding seeing those pictures. I used to love to bundle up and hit the hill! Send me some snow okay? I'd like it down here just for ONE DAY! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou're such a fun mom!
