Dear Little Chick,

Happy 10th birthday my beautiful baby girl! I love you more than anything in the world! You have grown into a smart, caring, warm, very funny, compassionate, empathetic, gorgeous, athletic, amazing young lady. I am so proud of you all the time. You make me smile and laugh throughout each day. Your giggles and silliness are contagious and the bright happy light you carry within brightens everyone's day. You are so beautiful and I feel so blessed to be your mommy. I love you!  Love, Mommy

Little Chick's Birthday Party

Little Chick had a fabulous 10th birthday! She woke up around 5:00 am ready to get the day started. Yup! I said 5:00 am. She could not wait for all the surprises that the day had waiting for her. She was so excited! After opening gifts from mommy in the morning she got to lounge around and watch her favorite movie - Zootopia.  Then her godmom came and we went out for a birthday brunch. She was surprised with a candle and ice cream and lots of singing from all the waiters and people in the restaurant. We went to see The Secret Life of Pets in the afternoon. What a cute movie! Then it was off our family birthday dinner. So many laughs and fun! It was such a beautiful birthday!

Happy 10th Birthday Little Chick!

Little Chick is 10 years old today! Wooohooooo! Double digits! It is truly my favorite day of the year because God brought my beautiful baby into this world. There is no greater blessing than this. Little Chick could not wait for her birthday to arrive. We have many wonderful things planned today and during the week to celebrate her special day. I love my Little Chick more than anything!

Great Loss & Thanksgiving Thusday

It is an absolutely gorgeous Thanksgiving Thursday and I feel so grateful for all that God has blessed me with. With great blessings, loss can leave a space that simply never can be filled again. Lately I have been missing my Dad so very much. Little Chick and I visit his grave and I am reminded of how much joy he brought to everyone each day. It saddens me that Little Chick never got to know him. I am very grateful that she has her Grandma to make up for that loss. Grandma Hen and Little Chick have a very special bond and enjoy their time together. I am grateful for my family and for having had such amazing parents!

Love & Laughter - Thanksgiving Thursday

Little Chick is my ray of sunshine! She can make anyone laugh and brings a smile to people's faces everywhere she goes. Her bright cheery personality and contagious smile can get the most cantankerous person to crack a smile. Since she was small Little Chick would become concerned when she saw a peer hurt on the playground, a passer by who looked sad or someone who simply was having a bad day. She would try to make them smile or say a cheerful "Hello!" to get them out of their dismal state. She simply wanted to spread the happiness around. She still spreads joy and I LOVE this so much about her. Her empathy and compassion for others is something I wish more of the world could emulate. There certainly can never be enough LOVE and LAUGHTER and I feel so blessed to have Little Chick's contagious smile and giddiness around me all the time.     

Thanksgiving Thursday: 1.) Little Chick and my family. 2.) The LOVE and LAUGHTER Little Chick spreads around each and every day. 3.) Mom's Night Out with wonderful friends. 4.) For Grandma Hen babysitting so I can have a MNO from time to time. 5.) Summer fun with my beautiful Little Chick.

Summertime

Little Chick and I have been having so much fun this summer with great friends and swimming each day. We have been making plenty of stops at our favorite frozen yogurt place and enjoying every moment of it. Little Chick's passion for horses and riding has brought a sparkle to her eye since she was two years old. She loves bringing treats for all the horses when she has her lessons. We were sad to see our favorite little mini, Misty, not feeling well. Little Chick made sure to give lots of love and treats to help her feel better. We are enjoying summer!

Horses, Friends & Swimming

Little Chick has been enjoying all the things she loves this summer. Horses, great friends, swimming, the beach, a good book and simply hanging out on a horse farm. She was so excited to give her pony a shower today.  It doesn't take much to fill our days with the utmost joy.
