Snowed In - Thanksgiving Thursday

"Too much snow or the more the merrier?" ~Mama Hen
We woke up this morning to quite a bit of snow! Little Chick and I love the snow! We can't wait for the fluffy white stuff every winter so we can spend our days making snow angels, snowmen, and sledding as much as we can. This particular storm left us with so much we could hardly walk. Little Chick kept losing her boot as she got stuck with each step. It was a lot of work for a little munchkin like her to get from point A to point B, but her determination to get to our back yard so she could sled kept her pushing forward. Sure, she fell a bunch of times and so did I. But that is part of the fun! Digging a path to my car was quite a task with my bad back and was about all I could do before I tossed the shovel aside and headed to the backyard for some fun! Take a look at my car hiding in the blanket of snow! That will be fun to dig out!
Pudding looked out the front door and wanted to come back in!
Little Chick takes a look out the front door. Wow!
Mommy, this is fun!

Little Chick pooped out already?

Are we there yet?
Cute Little Chick!

Thanksgiving Thursday
Here are the things I am so thankful for this week:
1.) Little Chick and my family.
2.) My beautiful cousin will be visiting us from Spain in a month!
3.) Little Chick's fervent passion for documentaries and learning about all baby animals.
4.) Hot chocolate on snowy days!
5.) The ability my daughter has to make me smile and laugh every day!

  3. Your yard looks like ours! I'm so glad you guys ventured out today - Georgia and I decided to have a pajama day. We've made forts and eaten cookies by the heater. Thanks for your wishes for Georgia - she's much better this week. Only the cough is left, and even that sounds much better. Have a great day!

  7. Wow... that's a lot of snow! Looks like you'll be digging yourself out for a while but at least Little Chick is a great helper! She looks like she's having a blast even though the snow is up to her waist!

  9. OH MY GOSH...again, soooo jealous! looks so fun...not so much digging the car out, but the sledding and playing looks FUN :)

Today it was finally cold here, but of course no snow in our forecast, but there's still hope I guess.

  10. Good job Little Chick! It's not the amount of snow you helped to shovel, it's the act of helping! You are such a good little girl!

  11. You girls really make the now look like so much fin.

Even a snow "grinch" like me can learn how to appreciate snow through your pictures. I promise the next time it snows in NYC I'm going to go play in it! :)

  15. Oh my!! Look at all that snow!! We wouldn't know what to do if we got snow like that! ;0 I love the look on the doggies face...it looks confused! If it's like my dog it hates the snow but then again we never get snow and the one time we did the dog was scared to death of it! haha Little Chick is the cutest little thing! She looks like she is having a blast in all that snowy goodness! Anyway, I have added your button to my blog, kortneyskrazylife.blogspot.com and linked back to you in my contest wins post! I hope you are having a great evening and try not to get too snowed in!! :)

  16. Goodness, what a lot of snow. You have more than we do - by far. Ours has gotten dirty and rainy - we need a good fresh dump so the girls can frolick outside again like Little Chick.

I love how you are as playful as she is. Keep it up - even through the aches.

I've been taking a bit of a break but it was nice to come back and see all the smiles here.

    Have a wonderful week-end!
    xoxo
