A couple of months ago, after eating at our favorite Chinese restaurant, I got this fortune above - Believe in miracles. I saved it! It sits in my car and I see it every day. I see it when I look at my daughter. She is my miracle and I can't even express in words how thankful I am for this amazing gift. When I look at the little piece of paper with such few words I am reminded of "hope" when I am having a difficult day, of "faith" when I feel a bit lost, and of the "power" of a strong belief in God and the wonders He has bestowed all around me. We are all so blessed to be given this journey on this masterpiece called Earth. It is very easy to let the daily stress and endless responsibilities get us down. We can become rather exhausted and lose sight of all the gifts around us. From the smallest bug to the tallest mountain, the miracles are everywhere!

You're right! There are miracles all around us. I am amazed at God's grace daily! :)

My biggest miracle, just like you, is my daughter. We waited over 5 years to be blessed with a child, and here she is! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's true that life gets tiring when we focus on the wrong things. I love that you were able to find inspiration in a fortune cookie! Every day is a miracle for me... life is short so each day is a blessing!
ReplyDeleteI would have to say my children are 2 of the many miracles God has bestowed upon me. My oldest was born after 40+ hours of labor and we had to have an emergency C-section. Come to find out the tube was wrapped around his neck 2x. Then my second was born with a collapsed lung. They are both very energetic and healthy boys today. They are truly miracles:) Nice post!
ReplyDeleteI feel the very same way about my own children. I have never taken them for granted, and feel so blessed with each day I have been given the gift of being their mother!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to know people find life to be a gift in itself, the same way we do!
ReplyDeleteWe should be grateful, and humbled, and in awe every day. We all have something for which to be grateful :-)
What a wonderful post, dear friend. I can't tell you how much I truly appreciate the positive message you always give off in your blog ... it warms my heart on days when I so need it. Thank you. My biggest blessings? my marriage and my daughters. And . . . being able to live to see them all. I love this fortune and this post. Have a wonderful night!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Mama Hen. I do believe in miracles and appreciate them but not as much as I'd like to. It's always great to be reminded of that fact that they are everywhere. Hope you and Lil Chick are doing great and she's feeling better.
ReplyDeleteSuch great saying... my miracles are of course my beloved little sprouts and my late dog, Husky! Who brought joys and bundles of other miracles into my life!^-^
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day to you and your miracle!;)
I love being reminded of the miracles ALL around us, and yes my boys are mine too :) What joys life brings...even through the ups and downs! Great post and precious pics of you and your MIRACLE!!
ReplyDeleteI will get to working on my paragraph, are you featuring my family blog or workout blog??!
My children are my miracles too! Adorable pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter is so cute, I love those photos of you guys together. The best miracle in my life so far is my husband - he is exactly the kind of guy I always prayed to marry and I am really grateful to have him.

There are so many miracles that happen every day around us - my daughter, who we prayed for and were so blessed to have. And more recently my mom, who was really sick with a chronic liver condition. Her odds were 50/50 at best of beating it, but after over a year of chemotherapy, she was cured! Over a year later and she is still happy and healthy and more energetic than ever!
ReplyDeleteI also believe there are miracles going on all the time that we don't even recognize! I think that the biggest miracle is how lives are transformed by the power of Jesus Christ bringing hope to the hopeless, love and joy to those who've never experienced it before, peace amidst turbulence.
ReplyDeleteI truly believe that daily life brings little miracles but we often just do not see them :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind words about my Think Pink Post on News From Italy.
I needed to read this post today - thank you Mama Hen. I hope you're doing well and Little Chick is feeling better!

ReplyDeleteI agree-my kids are my miracles!
Life in itself is miraculous and my daughters are definitely tiny miracles! What a great reminder to read those words every day and to remember all of your blessings!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more Mama Hen! Life and everything around us are miracles. What an inspirational quote to view every day. It sure does change your perspective on things and makes you focus on all your blessings.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks for being such a sweet friend. We're doing surprisingly well this week--remembering with happiness in our hearts!
Such a perfect post for the day I had today. I AM going to believe in miracles because sometimes, they DO come true! You are so right about your Little Chick Mama Hen. She is a living, breathing example of the kind of miracles that DO come true! You are so blessed!
ReplyDeleteBelieving in miracles and believing in ourselves are great gifts. My greatest miracle is my family - my husband and my girls. Thanks for inspiring me, once again! (:

ReplyDeleteThinking of you today :) Hope you're doing well.
ReplyDeleteWow you must have been reading my mind! I am going through the most difficult time that I've ever experienced in my entire life right now & this is what I needed to read. I'm trying my best to put my faith in God & that he will help my family & I get through this tough time, but it's so hard to want to give up when things don't go your way.
