~Little Chick
On Friday we went to Manhattan with my good friend Geri, her friend and of course Little Chick's doll. She was so excited to get her doll's hair done at The American Doll Store. A couple of years back Geri had gotten Little Chick the doll. We went into the city together and she got to pick it out. Now it has become something really fun for us all. While we were on the train Little Chick said, "Mommy, we have to light a candle for God." Every time we go to the city we always go to Saint Patrick's Cathedral to light candles and say prayers for my Dad, our little puppies and all the people we love. I loved hearing my daughter tell me that she was so excited to light a candle for God. Each time she lit one she placed her hands together and said a prayer. It was so sweet and beautiful. Last night Little Chick lost her 6th tooth! Now both of her front teeth are missing. Little Chick's tooth fairy, Oceana Wavey, makes her second trip in one month. It has been so much fun the past few days!
How cute is that doll salon??!!! Adorable. Great pics as always, and lovely stories to match!

ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful time! I love that LC wants to light a candle for God. You are so great at making fun & memorable experiences for your girl :) I think you are one of the first blogging friends who I remember lives in the moment with her daughter and that has stayed with me about you. Such a wonderful quality to live and breathe in. Hope you continue to have a super summer!

ReplyDeleteI am your newest follower..pls follow back if you can.
Looks like a fun time and I just gotta say again I love the name Oceana Wavery - good stuff!
ReplyDeleteI love St. Patrick's Cathedral! I love the fact that Little Chick wants to light a candle for God and of course, your father. I've been teaching Lewie about how his grandfather (my father) is around sending us signs from above all the time. It's so important for them to learn how our loved ones are always with us. What a special little trip with so much meaning!
